Personality:
Calm and relaxed, Tetsuya is known for his good humor and lack of serious misdemeanor. Because of this many feel at ease when in his presence but it was not always so. When growing up, he knew war better than any friend he had. Uncomfortable by this, the elder villagers placed Tetsuya in a trance like sleep for almost six years where in his head he knew only happiness. Sadly when let out of the trance his first couple of words were those of warmth and comfort, but then immediately became those of what is now known as "The Thirteenth Prophecy" which is now only know to those few who are still alive from when it was told say it is about coming battles and plots against all who stood up against evil. Only one name was spoken during the process and soon after Tetsuya left Modeoheim.

Relationships: Having known many people in his life, there are several distinct ones that helped him find his purpose in life.
Cloud: They have met on several occasions, but seemingly more in passing than for actual conversation.
Sephiroth: Having met him several times on the battlefield, Tetsuya has the scars to prove this fact. During the course of possibly the hardest battle in his life, Tetsuya was able to successfully defeat him due to a fluke.
Genesis: Once A promising young SOLDIER, Tetsuya looked up to him as a father figure, and learned much of life's philosophy from him.
Zack Fair: Having known Zack since he was enrolled into SOLDIER, they would train together often, but were rarely seen together. Having seen Zack as a younger brother, Tetsuya admired his courage and sense of pride.

Weapons:
Giga Blade: This weapon was made specially for Tetsuya by a master swordsman who's name is now lost in history's books. When handled by others this sword literally weighs a ton, but is handled with ease by Tetsuya. This sword is able to absorb Materia accordingly and is best used with Firaga and Thundaga. Any other type of elemental Materia works only as a first stage attack(Example: Blizzaga would only work as Blizzard).

Abilities:
Tetsuya is an accomplished expert swordsman and is a master when using Materia.Since his Gigha Blade is able to absorb Materia , he is at best form when both are used in sync. Tetsuya is able to summon creatures of massive proportion with the help of Materia and his gig blade, but is unable to cast spells by hand without his weapon.

Giga slash: An attack that is used without any Materia, it creates a white trail that can cut through nearly any metal with ease, and with enough power can carve through rock like paper.

Giga Flash: When fire & thunder Materia is absorbed by his blade, it gives his sword an explosive property that can break through defense.
Giga Burst: When fira & thundarr Materia is absorbed into his weapon, it gives him the ability to control the bursts so that they are more accurate.
Giga Blast: When firaga & Thundaga Materia is absorbed into the Giga blade, it allows Tetsuya to willingly summon forth fire as he sees fit while also giving the flames an extra zip.


History:
An important part of Tetsuya's past is this: Born in Modeoheim, an icy and cold village, he knew war better than he knew any friend he had. Uncomfortable by this, the war weary elder villagers placed Tetsuya in a trance like sleep for almost six years with a special form of Materia where it trapped his mind on what can only be described as another realm where in his head he knew only happiness. Sadly when let out of the trance his first couple of words were those of warmth and comfort, but then immediately became those of what is now known as "The Thirteenth Prophecy" which is now only know to those few who are still alive from when it was told say it is about coming battles and plots against all who stood up against evil. Only one name was spoken during the process and soon after Tetsuya left Modeoheim to find this person. Considered an oddity that he is able to control fire based elements so easily after growing up in such a cold and harsh land he knew he had a talent and headed to Shinra to learn more. At age 13 he was the youngest person to be accepted into the SOLDIER program, and participated in many experiments involving Jenova Cells being injected into him. Not much is known about this time except that by age 18 he was completing missions by himself. Due to his training at such a young age he was considered a prodigy and eventually was noticed by Genesis who he considered a father figure due to his parents dieing at an early age. After meeting Genesis, he learned much about him and would often console in him about personal matters and discuss their personal interpretations of LOVELESS, and other times they would spar relentlessly. All in all, Tetsuya is Genesis's protege and is still searching for his long lost friend and the person's name that is always nagging at the back of his consciousness.
